About the Makers Emporium
In recent years, Rotherham Town Centre has undergone a huge transformation in order to bring shoppers back to the town by offering a unique shopping experience for all.
With the help of the Portas Pilot initiative and High Street Renewal Fund Award, the town centre has seen the renewal of the shopping buzz of old; with the emphasis on making Rotherham ‘The Independent Alternative.
The Makers’ Emporium is the latest exciting town centre project; taking the pop-up shop concept to a new level by bringing a mixture of makers, crafters, artists and designers to the town, trading from a shared and professionally managed retail unit.
The Emporium has a clear focus on locally designed and hand-crafted items with an array of pieces available to suit all tastes and budgets. With everything from handmade bags and cushions, to exclusively designed children’s clothing and footwear; quality skincare products made from local honey, to men’s t-shirts and home-ware. You will also find recycled metal art, unique gifts, hand crafted fine silver jewellery, bespoke hats and fascinators.
As well as offering a new shopping experience, The Makers Emporium aims to support new start-businesses looking to try trading their products, raise awareness of their brand and learn the art of retailing; as well as bringing a range of unique, quality products to the town centre.
Located on the High Street, already filled with such wonderful wares; the Emporium has been restored to reflect the historic nature of the surrounding buildings and showcase the rich heritage.
Yet another reason to make Rotherham Town Centre your independent alternative.
